Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. They made me feel confident in my purchase, by explaining to me the different options for engagement rings and what everything meant. Also I feel as though when I pop the question, My girlfriend will Love the ring.

I bought a Tacori engagement ring from Mervis back in July, more specifically from Michael Morgenrood and it was one of the easiest experiences I ever had! My fiance absolutely loved the ring and has gotten numerous compliments on how much it sparkles. I had done some research beforehand and came in with a general idea of what I wanted. I purchased a setting from Mervis and had a really good experience. Other commenters have said that you need to have an idea of what you're looking for when you walk in because they sit you in a room and don't show you many options, but I actually liked the privacy. I was able to walk in, give a general description of what I was looking for, see some alternatives, and improve my understanding without feeling pushed around. A friend suggested Mervis after I had already placed a deposit on a stone from another dealer. I was a little intimidated going to a diamond jeweler in downtown D.C., but my experience was absolutely wonderful! I did not experience any of the issues that the other reviewers had. I worked with Becky and she was amazing. She worked extremely hard to get me the best price for the stone she showed me. My fiancee purchased my ring last week and proposed last night...the ring is beautiful and I am so happy! He said he had an amazing experience here and will be writing a review as well. My review is only of the diamond, which is amazing. Square radiant diamond with a white gold band. He seems to know a lot about diamonds now so the sales staff must have done a good job educating him :-) Thank you for this wonderful ring from a very happy bride-to-be!!!

My future husband and I made an appointment with Mervis a few weeks ago and Becky helped us out. Her service was great. She spent over and hour with us to make sure I found what I liked (I'm a picky woman). At the end of the appointment, she hit the nail on the head with a gorgeous wedding set that I LOOOVVVE. I even went back two weeks later just to try it on again. My FH said he loved the fact that there was no pressure or harassing about purchasing and she was very willing to work with his budget.

Mervis Diamonds is an excellent establishment and business to work with. In February and March of 2011 the store sponsored a trip through ESPN 980 to South Africa. The trip was a 10-day vacation, and everything about it was spectacular. We stayed in 2 5-Star hotels. The first was the Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town, which is a Leading Hotel of the World, and everything about the hotel was beautiful. There are so many places to shop for fine jewelry whether it's in stores or online. But if you are looking for one-on-one personal detailed attention with a professional and knowledgeable staff, don't go anywhere except for Mervis at 1700 K Street, NW. Emilie worked with me on two separate purchases because I was so pleased with her patience and knowledge. I even asked for a stack of her business cards to give to my friends and family. When you find excellent customer service, you want to spread the word.
