Had a great experience with Mervis and definitely wanted to share. I went ring shopping in February/March, proposed in April and got married a year later in July. Worst experience ever! We came originally from hearing positive reviews of other locations but were unfortunately greeted by manager Maria Kamali was so rude and condescending to me and my partner! I shouldn't have been surprised when we walked in she was yelling at the very kind front desk girl. Maria Kamali was frustrated that I didn't know exactly what type of ring I wanted and was yelling at us whenever we asked a question about stone size, styles, and the band. Amazing engagement experience at Mervis. I would recommend the DC Location to anyone. Deva was wonderful to work with and helped us find exactly what we were looking for - and we were very specific! This was October-November-December 2018.
This location has taken a terrible turn for the worse. When we went here to purchase an engagement ring, Kris, Dion and Angell made us comfortable with the idea of spending thousands. They were friendly, helpful and had impeccable attention to detail. Absolutely cannot say anything negative about them. They were around in 2016 when the purchase was made. I'm so happy I chose to come to Mervis. My partner and I are getting married in September and although she already has a ring and I originally wasn't going to get one...whadya know. Here we are. I did research on jewelry shops in the area who mentioned LGBTQ+ "friendly" because honestly, doing the quintessential couple shopping when you're in a same-sex relationship can sometimes cause for awkward experiences. Mika was super helpful and made sure we found a ring we loved that was within our budget. She spent lots of time with us and helped to explain various ring options as I knew almost nothing about rings before I started shopping. She also made the experience a lot of fun and made the time feel special. I highly recommend both Mervis and Mika.
My fiancé met with Mika Rockett at Mervis Diamond last February to pick out an engagement ring for me. He had nothing but amazing things to say about his experience with Mika. I bought my first diamond stud from Mervis in 2010 and began taking advantage of their great trade up program a few years later. It is wonderful to be able to upgrade and get full value for the trade in. Dodi is a terrific diamond expert and really helped bring the sparkle I needed into my life. Be sure to ask for her at this location!
Best of the best. 3rd time i have used Mervis for jewelry. Never had an issue. Prices are always fair. Sales person is always knowledgeable and very attentive before, during and after the sale. Best in the area. Highly recommended.
