Absolutely except he has now retired.Throughout all the years since 1992 I have been with Dr. Englert he was excellent treating my narcolepsy and then sleep Apnea. When he moved into The Saint Joseph medical regional center in Mishawaka I was happy he was closer to where I lived but when he retired last year Saint Joseph regional medical center did not inform me and then would not give me a reference to another doctor taking over for him and said they would no longer have a sleep specialist there anymore. In August 2019, my doctor's office sent a referral to South Bend Neurology in South Bend, Indiana for me to see neurologist Michael Englert. South Bend Neurology told me that it would consider whether to accept me as a new patient and would contact me with a decision. Despite several telephone calls that I placed to this clinic, I have never received an answer as to whether I was accepted as a new patient, even though it confirmed on one of the calls that it had received my doctor's order. I was an established patient. I had a flare-up of my neurological condition and Dr. Englert refused to see me, suggested I go to a PCP.
I really like Dr. Englert. My issues are that 1. You have to wait quite awhile to get an appointment, & 2.Getting to the office is very difficult. The parking, even with a disabled parking pass is horrible. Even the disabled spots are not close. Then you have to hike up to the building, then there's a broad walkway to get to the elevators. For a practice that treats many people with disabilities, the setup is as if nobody paid the least bit of attention to the patient needs. It's daunting.
