I have had THE worst experience with the office of Dr. Piper through Providence Ascension in Southfield, MI. On my initial call, they called one hour early and I was unavailable. They did not call at the confirmed time. When I called the office after waiting for 15 min after the scheduled time to reach a doctor I was told the whole office was out for the rest of the day for a staff mtg. Have 2degrees in nursing, retired needed a gastroscopy. Called his office for appt. Was told 10 minute preop visit not covered by Medicare and would be between 180.00 and 400.00. Made appt for surgery without seeing him and when I entered the preop area I was asked if it was a gastroscopy or colonscopy. Unbelievable !! Nurses and technicians rude in preop, or, and postop at St john macomb. My daughter said they were shaking me telling me to wake up because they had someone else for the bed.
