Dr. Michels is top notch. I could tell just from my first appointment with him. However, I was disappointed with the staff, as they were supposed to have scheduled me with a follow up and didn't, resulting in a delay of over a month before I can see the doctor again. There was no apology for this. They also did not seem client-centered in general because when I first walked in, I seriously got the impression no one was there. Dr. Luke Michels continues to impress me with his knowledge of psychotropic medications and their respective side effects. He is also very congenial and pleasant to work with.
I have recently started seeing Dr Eleanor Curry at Mindpath Heath. While it did take me quite a while to get this appointment, once you do get on her schedule, that issue is resolved. I have severe trust issues due to my trauma, but she immediately put me at ease. She is kind, understanding, and very knowledgeable. I am very happy that I found Mindpath Health and was able to connect with Dr Curry. I am very, very happy with my experience and I am really glad I found her, I look forward to continuing to work with her.
Dr. Shaghagi Is amazing. There are several reviews about the staff that was negative but that was long ago from what I can tell from most of them. My experience has been Great overall. Dr. Shaghaghi is a wonderful and responsive person. If I had to go out of pocket just to see her, I would if I had to go out of pocket just to see her I would. I think she’s not great. I was a weekly client with Acacia for 4 years, and a weekly client of MindPath for one year. When MindPath took over, they sent everyone a new contract explaining that the price of therapy sessions will be anywhere from $150 - $350 starting on January, 2023. In their Credit Card Authorization contract, MindPath explains that they are authorized to withdraw the amount due AND any other remaining balances.
