Gosh, I'm so surprised by some of these comments on here. I highly recommend Dr. Tacata. After years of searching for a psychiatrist that I thought I truly connected with, I found one in her. She is so caring, calm, and not interested in AT ALL prescribing things that the drug companies are prodding her to do. She is so completely different from other doctor's I've been to, and I hope that she remains in Sacramento for a long time, as I am positive I would not find a better psychiatrist for me. After many years and many doctors I finally found Dr. Tacata. Listens to me, prescribes appropriate medication and is almost always available for an appointment withing a few days of my calling in. She's wonderful.

At last! After interviewing a handful of psychiatrists, I've finally found a good fit! I felt like Dr. Tacata was really paying close attention to what I was saying, which is a rarity. I am very thankful to have found her and I have recommended her to a few of my friends, who find her just as refreshing as I have. Keep up the good work!!

finally, i found a psychiatrist that i feel comfortable around. my last doctor left me very upset by the end of our visits.i felt like they didn't listen and totally over-medicated me. i felt like a zombie and couldn't concentrate. dr. tacata has helped me tremendously. i finally feel balanced. highly recommend!

I have been treated over the years by many doctors and counselors. I have only found one other dr. that could relate to me and help me, however when he moved I was faced with the task of finding another one. Dr. Tacata was recommended my by counselor (a PhD.) and I made an appt. At first I thought she was a little abrupt but I went back and I am very glad I did. She has helped me and perscribed medications that allow me to function and work full time.

It is very hard to find female Dr in any field that are accepting new patients. They seem to be in very high demand. I am very pleased with Dr. Tacata. She is very perceptive and knowledgeable and has helped me quite a bit. I wish I could find a female primary care Dr. that I had as much confidence in.

I have always hated to go to doctors of any kind, Dr Tacata has changed my mind and my life. She is an outstanding human and doctor. If only there were more like her in the world...

I have been seeing Dr. Tacata for 6 months and while she is often running late, that is not at all novel with any type of doctor - psychiatrist, dentist, ob-gyn, dermatologist etc. I find her to be a very knowledgeable, very caring doctor who takes the time to learn a patient's background and issues and thoughtfully prescribes what she thinks will help. I have no complaints about her except that she does not have personal voicemail - you have to leave a message for her at the general office number and the office staff relays... read more

It has been my pleasure and opportunity to work closely with Dr Tacata. She is one of the most dedicated and hardworking psychiatrists I know. She is very devoted to her patients and a great co-worker. Though she has moved on to outpatient treatment, I will miss her expertise, knowledge and compassion for her patients. Good Luck Dr Tacata.
