I had a great first experience with MindRx. Firstly, I loved that I was able to do a self referral - I know it can be challenging to get a referral via a doctor or therapist. Secondly, the scheduling team is professional and I loved that I did my scheduling though text message. Thirdly, I saw Cary Shore who was wonderful. She was so kind. I didn't feel judged or rushed through our session. She asked insightful questions to really understand my situation. I would highly recommend seeking care with MindRx Group.
I was hesitant to do an online meeting vs. in—person, but the convenience helped me overcome my procrastination. I connected with Christopher who was a really thoughtful and overall solid nurse practitioner. He was able to view my symptoms from a macro / environmental perspective, and was also open to relating human to human, which helped make me feel comfortable and safe receiving care.
Mind RX was a great choice for managing medication. They take the time to listen and work collaboratively with you to help you feel your best. They also are good at coming up with a plan to track progress and make adjustments. They have an easy way to sign up for an appointment, and unlike typical medical providers, you don't have to wait months for your first appointment.
I had 1 appointment where we were plagued by connectivity issues. For an appointment that was barely 30 minutes they charged me just shy of 400$ dollars because my deductible wasn't met. The bill came out of nowhere over 2 months later. Do not use this service as they will over charge you for their service.
Was able to schedule an appointment with a very welcoming therapist who gave many helpful recommendations, just based off of first impressions. No critique to her, she was great (her name was Karen Schaaf to anyone who may be wondering) but the scheduling process was somewhat confusing. It was still manageable, but I found figuring out how to contact the therapist and when to schedule appointment stressful.
