That was the worst restaurant I have ever been to in my life. The food was either burned black (pancakes) or raw (sausages). The poached apples on the pancakes were not ordered and they were spoiled). My husband and I stopped eating and we were both sick anyway.

We have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years. We especially liked it during the Christmas Holiday. They always decorated this historic building nicely and it always a made our holiday more special. This visit however was different. The building was cold, our greeting was unenthusiastic and the service and food was subpar. The waiter seemed like a robot and the menu had all strange combinations of meals. Just to be safe we ordered hamburgers. We were there early, and the bathrooms were a mess…paper towels all over ... read more

We were hoping for a professional restaurant experience akin to our beloved long lost Pentimento, but alas, we were tremendously disappointed. Waiters were all very rushed, place was full of drunk people, food portions very small with unjustifiably high prices, mistake made on our bill (charged for something we did not have), very very limited menu (and many items prepared with bacon) and overall, it was like a noisy diner with a bar rather than the professional restaurant experience we'd anticipated. Won't be returning.

I just wish this place was better. We try every so often to love this spot but it's just tough. Everything is just mediocre.

We had to leave as the odor of the place was horrible. They need a deep cleaning of their rugs and they should keep pet odors down to a minimum as its a restaurant
