Bad service
I had the kobe beef sliders, they were dry and overcooked. My companion had the goulash again it was dry. The onion soup was okay but the amount of cheese was somewhat skimpy
The food was mediocre. Not up to Guy’s best Service was very slow
After years of positive experiences here, we found the food quality unacceptable. Fish and chips tasted of rancid oil, which the chef attempted to disguise with cayenne. The result was overly spicy, dry fish. The crisps were too peppery and left me with burning lips. This was a huge disappointment. Their fish and chips used to be outstanding but we won't order them again. The oysters and salads were terrific, however, and service fine.
We were seated by the wait stand so someone was always staring at our table. It was distracting while trying to carry a conversation. My husbands burger was charred and dry. My lobster must have been cracked while over the bed of black eyed peas and there were tiny pieces of shell mixed into the salad below. I mentioned to the waiter and he apologized. The cocktail was made well. The live music was a nice touch as well. The tuna tartare was very nice. Overall though, the food was disappointing.
With expected heavy traffic for a special event we were seated in the hallway between the tavern and restaurant. The hostess should have known not to seat anyone there. We had to demand to be moved. The main restaurant is not open during the week which was in fine print somewhere on Open Table. If we decide to return we will not reserve on OT and ask if events are going on. Food was fine but just average. Will probably try again with caution.
Three of us had the same entrée pan roast pork. It was dry and virtually inedible! The appetizers were nice even though the soup could have been warmer. No one came to the table after the food was served to check on us.
Was looking forward to this dinning experience. Very disappointed. Food was good. Service was slow, inattentive. Had to get help to remove glassware. Remind server to bring wine, after meal was served. Manager took our order. Had no idea where to go when first arrived. Coat check was on my own.
Terrible. Last time we go there for brunch. Brunch with Santa messed up their brunch service.
