The food was not up to the "Old" Mirabelle standards. Our main course with Tile fish had little taste with hardly any tile fish. The shrimp tasted like they were previously frozen. I don't thin we will be back anytime soon.
After dining at this no-longer Lessings" linked restaurant in its many locations over the past 30 years, it is evident that there have been detrimental changes both in the kitchen and the "front of the house". A once vibrant and dependable menu has given way to a false "Fix Prix" Evening Menu where half of the appetizer and entree choices are offered at a substantial additional charge. Their once reliably-french menu is no more. The main Tavern Menu uses cutsey names for appetizers and "small plates" that do not live up to t... read more
asked ahead for quiet table in corner ....said the table we wanted was reserved but no one ever showed up. Brown out at restaurant but not to,d till after food ,which was sent back, was served. Waitress not around. Asked Three times for bread. Man from front desk very condescending .....manger was on the ball and comp our dinner....car attendants on cell phones. Not a good experience.
We were warmly greeted and shown to our table and given menus. After a few minutes, we were served water and asked if we wanted anything to drink. We told him we were looking at the wine list. Then after 20 minutes of no one coming back, I flagged someone down and asked if he would find our waiter. Another 5 minutes went by and our waitress came and apologized for the delay. The restaurant was not crowded, and I had seen her chatting with another table. We ordered a bottle of wine and also placed our dinner order at the same... read more
Have not been here for a while (a year?) and came for lunch on a Sat.; it was packed with groups in every area, including the dining pub area; on time for reservation, but they were so busy that only THREE tables were devoted to lunch reservations! Gee, when I reserved on OT they had the whole afternoon open! Anyway, aside from waiting about 20 minutes, the food has really taken a nose dive from when they first opened; my companions had an acceptable organic egg special (?) and mussels/fries, but I had the most peculiar "chi... read more
Although the food was acceptable (when we ultimately received it), we waited OVER AN HOUR for our breakfast when there was one other table in the restaurant. When I complained about the service, the excuse I was given was that there was only one server and one cook in the back. The other table had left 30 minutes before I complained. My advice-- don't waste your time here.
I would not recommend Mirabelle to anyone. As usual the food was good but we had to wait 20 minutes for our dessert - which was a slice of cake. ?? The atmosphere is never friendly - no one greets you as you come in the front door. Other restaurants go out of their way to be friendly and welcoming. I rather get the feeling that it's a cold place to work and as many times as I have had lunch/dinner - it never changes.
I was very disappointed in their brunch. For the money I expected so much more. Lack luster ambience, service and food. Definitely not going back.
Two of our guest ordered kale salads. Waitperson delivered two arugula salads but did not advise the guests. That is unacceptable in a tavern bearing the highly reputed Mirabelle name ! Total time for dinner exceeded two hours. Why?
