The bartender not only mixed our martinis perfectly, he served only part of the drink in the martini glasses, the rest of it went in a miniature carafe that was placed into a brandy snifter filled with water and ice. Brilliant way to keep the martini cold! The dining experience was less rewarding. Bare table tops and paper napkins. An "organic mixed greens salad" that was just that -- a pile of greens. Would it have cost so much more to throw in a few tomatoes and pieces of cucumber? When I asked for the wine list, the waite... read more
We had booked a lunch reservation in the Tavern as we had enjoyed many great lunches there in the past. They served a special, appetizer, entree and dessert for about $27, incuding a glass of wine. We arrived last Saturday and was told that the tavern was not availble - only Christmas brunch. Food was ok, geared to feeding families who came to see Santa. Cost was in the $40's. Would not recommend Christmas brunch unless you have a number of children/family who are into a brunch of basic foods (hot dogs, mac' n cheese, ice cr... read more
Food was, overcooked, under loved, and just plain bad.
We went during restauarant week and left without eating. The menu was extremely limited and not kid-friendly at all. The new place looks nice, but maybe they should skip restaurant week next year.................
The hostesses were rude and unprofessional. It was an important date and they destroyed it. I will never go back and I live around the corner. I am going to share this information with everyone I know. Should have gone to the italian restaurant across the street.
I felt a bit disappointed. Although servers were extremely pleasant and professional, an appetizer order was never brought to our table. The food at our table ranged from fair to good. Expected more from this caliber restaurant.
The air conditioning was broken the evening we were there. We decided to stay anyway but it would have been nice to be offered something for our trouble---like a free cool drink or perhaps some sherbet for dessert. Food was overpriced and just good, not great. Be careful of ordering "snacks" they are maybe 3 bites and then you are done. And the side of macaroni and cheese is 3 long noodles---3! I don't think we'll be back.
Not at all what we excpected. Very noisy, poor service and parts of the meal were excellent and other parts had strange seasonings.
We had a 8:15 reservation on Friday night. We got there at 8:30. We were seated close to 9:00. Once the apps were finished we waited 45 minutes for the food. Prime rib was fatty. My wife enjoyed her hambuger. This restaurant is running on its reputation. Definitely would not recommend it to anyone. The manager was walking around the restaurant apologizing to several of the patrons, not a good sign.
