My pregnant wife was told to go to the ER after seeing urgent care. She was in much pain. I was expecting to get in within 30 mins but ended up waited over 3 hours with our restless 1 year old. When I asked where we were in line, the receptionist said we “were next.” Then proceeded to call 3 other people who arrived after us. To top it all off, the one water fountain was out. Do NOT go here for emergency care. Drive 10 minutes more and head over to Memorial in South Bend. 3 hours (still haven't been given a bed) in the ER for shortness of breath with chronic, pre-existing conditions. They don't give a hoot about you here and they will let you wait until you lose your sanity. It's not even busy! About 15 people in the waiting room and its not even 6pm. I will NEVER be back! There are people that have been waiting longer than me.
My minor daughter went there after she was assaulted by an adult. Night shift was amazing, comforting, extremely caring people. Then day shift comes in. The nurse that came in there immediately gave dirty looks. Took forever to discharge even though they were not busy at all. The discharge nurse grabbed her arm & aggressively takes out her IV. Zero comfort, communication, reassurance, care. Just more dirty looks. If you treat a child like that after they were already assaulted & traumatized you need to find a different job!
I went into the ER for some severe back pain I was having only to be treated poorly by the doctor I had. The doctor told me that unless I’m dying he can’t help me cuz there’s other people with more severe issues like having a stoke who need his help. Good to know that unless I’m dying I can’t get treatment. He refused to help me. I had said I wanted to know what was causing my pain so I would know how to treat it and he said he wouldn’t tell me what’s causing my pain. Spent 5 hours waiting, missed my work. No one cares about my health. After 5 hours. They keep saying the had no opening for me, that it’s my choice to go home if I like. I pray God will punish you all , the same way you neglect me with my pain, God almighty will neglect your cries and pain. You never get any help in life. God will turn his back from you all. Today 11-03-2025. You all that treated me poorly will be treated poorly . Amen
