My pregnant wife was told to go to the ER after seeing urgent care. She was in much pain. I was expecting to get in within 30 mins but ended up waited over 3 hours with our restless 1 year old. When I asked where we were in line, the receptionist said we “were next.” Then proceeded to call 3 other people who arrived after us. To top it all off, the one water fountain was out. Another Disrespectful medical facility could really care less about your entire well being, could care less about respect! Not the place to go if you are in any way LGBQT! It meets their so called standards of care so they are not going to change how they do things. Took over a month after I filed my complaint before they decided they were not going to do anything Not going to reprimand Hospitalist Hassan! Do NOT go here for emergency care. Drive 10 minutes more and head over to Memorial in South Bend. 3 hours (still haven't been given a bed) in the ER for shortness of breath with chronic, pre-existing conditions. They don't give a hoot about you here and they will let you wait until you lose your sanity. It's not even busy! About 15 people in the waiting room and its not even 6pm. I will NEVER be back! There are people that have been waiting longer than me.
My minor daughter went there after she was assaulted by an adult. Night shift was amazing, comforting, extremely caring people. Then day shift comes in. The nurse that came in there immediately gave dirty looks. Took forever to discharge even though they were not busy at all. The discharge nurse grabbed her arm & aggressively takes out her IV. Zero comfort, communication, reassurance, care. Just more dirty looks. If you treat a child like that after they were already assaulted & traumatized you need to find a different job!
After what sister told me about her experience would not take may worst enemy there. The elderly are treated as low class citizens. On the gereateic floor all beds have alarms even if the person is amblitary, no nurses just technicians. All communication is done through artificial intelligence on the TV. Improper tests done, sloppy diagnosis with AI. Lack of professional care for a health care facility. Urging family to get second opinions immediately!!
