My family and I went last night, as we had previously been there, and the food was good, but last night was not! I ordered a grilled cheese with fries, the cheese wasn’t even melted on my sandwich, and you could tell the fries had already been made and were sitting, and then dropped back in the fryer to warm up. They were stale, and soaked in oil. They were awful!! My husband and I went on the Mix Up Tour and checked out all the bars for the first time ever. They were all AMAZING! We loved the atmosphere at every location, the great service and the nice outside patios. We met the owner Liz for the first time at Too Mixed Up when they put on a huge benefit fundraiser for someone who tragically passed away. A very fun atmosphere! There is a lot to pick from on the menu for food, all the food we have had has been great! The staff all work together and help each other out to make sure people are served drinks and food quickly. They have music on a regular basis and different events/drawings that are fun to attend!

This is Called Mix'ed up Staples Lake. If the last time you were here it was the Buckhorn, you have not been HERE. THERE IS A NEW OWNER. The establishment has been remodeled, cleaned, there is friendly and courteous staff to make sure you are taken care off. The food is fresh and tasty with specials going all the time. The food and beverage pricing is very fair, with some things being a great value. $2.00 Busch Light cans all day everyday. On 1/3/26, five of us visited Mix Up on Staples Lake in Comstock, WI. We enjoyed the friendly staff until we decided to play pull tabs on a marked machine showing three remaining winning amounts: one around $200 and two around $100—over $400 total. Before buying out the box, we confirmed with staff that the markings were accurate. Based on this assurance, we spent a significant amount to buy out the box, only to find one winning tab worth $100.
