The ModBox Storage Facility in Mint Hill is top Notch!! They have made grounds improvements, laid new gravel and installed a new gate lock which works great. The facility appears safe to store your personal belongings. The communications between me and ModBox has been helpful and they communicate well regarding upgrades and payment reminders! We have been happy there for the past year or so. Highly recommend this storage facility!
The location is convenient. The rental and monthly payment processes are efficient. The facility is showing wear with the driveways needing some attention but the new indoor storage facility being built appears to be well done. Hopefully once that is completed attention will be paid to the unconditioned units.
The gravel roads are full of potholes and a muddy mess. It was difficult to even drive a box truck inside the facility. My unit had a big pothole beside of it that was constantly full of muddy water. The road conditions are absolutely horrible. They even had the audacity to raise my rent on the unit that was difficult to drive and that had a pothole in front of it. My vehicles needed a good wash each time I went to the facility.
Warning to all renters. This is a horrible place to place your stuff. There is no one manning this site. The gate breaks regularly and is left open for weeks. The is NO security at this site. NO Cameras or anything. Units are broken into regularly and Modbox doesn’t even care. Their lease agreement releases them of all liability and will tell you to put it on your home owners policy. Great storage facility with dry and clean units. Superb service from start to finish. Nice location with easy access from the road and around each storage unit.
