My mom said to me yesterday, I think George would have liked it here. Since her husband passed and she had to make the move from Florida to be near family we could not be happier to have found Monark Grove! There are so many activities, classes, and entertainment offered daily. If mom is not in the salon (onsite) or pretending to ride the bike in the gym, she is chatting with new friends. The residents at Monark Grove seem happy to be there. The staff is always welcoming and friendly, and they go the extra mile. Special thank you to Jasmin and Melissa, they are SO supportive. They go above and beyond, very professional! Monark Grove, along with the residents and family are very lucky to have them.
Update June 2026 Becky is gone!!!!. Maybe the departments will be directed better now. Food service: People do not want sugary, starchy, recycled food. Not expecting “lobster “ every day either. The thing with being older, you need and want things to be consistent. Having diners as special holiday meals at off times really disturbed a persons routine. I have been a resident of Monark Grove Clarkston since March 2022. I started out in independent living and I’m now in assisted living. I feel I have been here long enough and experienced a large part of the facility to give a valid and honest review. We all know that life is not perfect, but I think the administrators and the employees at Monark Grove do their best to bring it as close to perfect as possible. Our family has been so impressed with Monark Grove Assisted Living! My parents have been residents since September of 2024, and have been so well cared for and looked after. My mom has just recently died and everyone has been so kind and caring, checking in on my dad frequently, asking how he is and giving hugs. There are many activities and lots of food options for meals. We are so grateful for this community that provides such a level of comfort and care to aging parents. Thank you Monark, you are the absolute best!
