I am deeply dissatisfied with Mount Carmel ER and strongly recommend going anywhere else for your emergency medical needs. This establishment has made it crystal clear that they care far more about corporate profit and making money than they do about actually helping patients. I went to this ER seeking help for a specific medical issue and received absolutely zero direct care for it. No recommend!!!! I went to ER during the weekend because of my sinus infection I couldn’t wait until Monday to see my family doctor. The ER was empty and still I had to wait over an hour, then the doctor came asked 2, 3 questions and prescribed an antibiotic and I left. 3 weeks after the sent me a bill with 1200$ !! Excuse me !!! So their strategy is keep u there the maximum they can so they charge you more.
The nicest staff you could ask for. Was being helped by nurses and a doctor within 5 minutes of arriving. Just the nicest staff I have ever dealt with at the ER. Billing and Insurance staff member was super nice and helpful. I would prefer to not need the ER again, but if I do this is where I’ll go for sure.
I have no complaints about wait times; there are none. The staff was friendly and personable. However, if you are uninsured, go elsewhere. I was charged $4,500 for a short visit, which is excessive, and my problem was not resolved. I had to go to the OSU Wexner ER the next day, where I was charged half that amount and my issue was resolved.
I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Having to go to the ER isn’t a great experience for anyone. From start to finish it was so smooth and the process was easy. The staff was beyond kind and compassionate. They really wanted to figure out what was going on. All my tests were done with results back promptly. They saw my partner and I brought books to read to pass the time and they made sure to talk about books and what we all enjoy reading. It made what can be a stressful situation easy and personable.
