After a month of living here I can say this has been the best apartment I’ve been in ever!!! I’m extremely happy with the staff and my neighbors are great. I can hear them occasionally but it’s never super late. The only complaint I have is I wish there were more guest spots but honestly I’m just thankful I had my own spot. Sarah and Andrew were amazing when I was getting ready to move in. Showing me the apartment a few times so I could make my decision. They were a big part of why I decided to move in.
I would strongly encourage anyone considering Mountain View Apartment Homes to do serious research before signing a lease. The windows in these units are extremely old and inefficient and freeze inside in the winter , and management refuses to replace them. Because of that, utility bills regularly run between $250–$400 per month. For the rent price, that is unacceptable. Six months ago, my apartment flooded due to a pipe bursting. I am amazed of how kind and understanding the faculty members are! Andrew presented us our new home for my family and I with such generosity. The area is wonderful and very convenient, perfect for my husband in the military, as the base is 3 min away. Pet friendly and our baby loves it. Definitely recommend asking for Andrew as he made the process of getting a home easy and smooth.
Andrew Stevenson made moving in to my wonderful apartment home quick, easy and stress free. He was welcoming, very knowledgeable, has a good sense of humor and just an easy person to get along with. It was truly an honor having him show me my apartment, the amenities and helping me become a proud resident here at Mountain View.
If you are planning to live here, be prepared to spend hundreds of the dollars due to them being unable to maintain their appliances. Our electricity bill stayed steady during the same at around $70-$93. We were expecting it to go up in the winter however, our electricity bill shot up to almost $250. We were concerned. We started keeping the temperature at 68, unplugged everything when we left, and asked Colorado Springs Utilities to come look at our meter and give us recommendations to keep the costs down.
