This place is awful and I need to speak out and warn others. The Roof leaks into apartments from ice dams and nothing gets done. Nor does management care. They make elderly walk to dumpster in freezing cold weather. The manager is absolutely useless and unaccountable for anything. She never leaves her office and has refused to do well check. I am a concern family member of a tenant who lives at Monroe Towers. Other tenant family members may not be aware of the living condition s our loves. Who ever the manager is should be fired for not doing her job: not being compliant with health codes, not being compliant with state houses code. You can't tell tenant not to flush their toilet with out another option. Manager had water shut off when you have elderly people who take medicine and she again offered no alternative. Please be cautious before moving a family member into this apartment building. There are other Section 202 options nearby. Management’s behavior toward residents is concerning to put it gently, and some apartments are in objectively unacceptable condition, including visible mold.
My Mom is a resident here and fell the other day. She was transported by ambulance and I was never notified. The office manager said not required independent living. Ok, but sometimes there is such a thing as courtesy. Also, it says built in 1981, and trust me there have been little updates since then. Lobby area very dirty. My mom is a resident here and watches my daughter frequently. My daughter (9) was waiting for my mom to park the car and was spinning on the metal pole of the awning. The manager KAREN decides it's okay to pound on her office window to get her attention to get her to stop her from spinning. She was outside for maybe 2 minutes. She made my daughter cry for just being a kid. My daughter wasn't hurting anyone and was far enough from the door that she wouldn't knock into anyone.
