I had a great experience at Saint Francis for the birth of my daughter. The only reason for 4 stars is because my assigned L&D nurse was not a good fit for me. She didn’t give us space and was in the room constantly (I was there for a scheduled c section). She narrated everything she was doing and wouldn’t allow us to sit in silence which my nervous system desperately needed. She was very scattered and kept forgetting to ask important intake questions. I had an amazing experience at St. Francis Hospital for both labor and delivery and postpartum care. This was my first pregnancy, and the nurses and staff were incredibly kind, patient, and supportive every step of the way. During labor and delivery, I felt safe, listened to, and truly cared for. My birthing and postpartum experience here went great - the staff was so patient & kind. The L&D staff did a great job of explaining what they recommended, the why behind it and my other option available. The postpartum nurses were reassuring and so helpful - when I panicked as I was leaving, my nurse did a great job at calming me and providing additional resources. From labor and delivery to the family birth center, I had such a great experience giving birth to my first child at St. Francis. My nurse at labor and delivery was the most supportive person I have ever met. She helped me navigate all the anxiety and questions I had throughout the process. This was our second delivery at St. Francis and both experiences were fantastic! The nurses in L&D and Postpartum are some of the most amazing humans on earth. Their care was top-notch, around-the-clock, professional, and so compassionate.
