I have been attending Newman International Academy since I was in first grade. As a current senior, I have been welcomed by passionate teachers and a positive atmosphere, but there are many flaws in the program. While the teachers are deeply caring and committed to the students, they typically do not stay for more than a year and the school is chronically understaffed. This is also true about principals and administration. Academics at Newman are done well depending on what teacher you have, most are not certified teachers, ... read more
My experience at newman has actually been good and helped me grow better during my whole days of high school. I learnt a lot about life and how to become successful in further areas of my life through the Influence of Newman.
All in all, my experience at Newman International Academy of Arlington has been good with supportive professors, character building, and a plethora of extracurricular activities to engage oneself in. Smaller class sizes bring forth the opportunity for individual attention, which I appreciate. However, I feel the communication back and forth between school and families could be clearer, and I sincerely hope some more resources and programs come in for the advancement of academics and college prep. Overall, it is a caring scho... read more
I enjoyed my school years at Newman. The best part about going to school there was probably the challenges I faced each class. It made me realize how hard I had to work in order to achieve my goals. Along with that came the stress of not being able to complete all that I set out to do. The worst part of Newman though is the staff. Some of them can be somewhat bias, helping students they like or being rude to those they dislike. I'd like to see a change between student and staff interactions in the future, so that they are mo... read more
It has been okay, I appreciate the environment and most of the teachers, but wish the administration understood the needs and wants of the students. Praise God for revival at Newman!
The campus I went to was a small school, which made it easy to get to know the students and teachers. I would say that the best part of it was attending a Bible study every morning and being able to discuss my faith with the small group. The worst part of the school was the food and restrooms. The restrooms were destroyed, and the food was not good.
I began attending this school in my junior year in 2024, When I came here I had trouble becoming friends with people due to the difference in personalities and character. I think this school has some work to do with administration but the teachers really try and teach the students and help them when they need it.
I miss Newman though the rules were overly strict and the schools assemblies were terrible it is where i met the greatest teachers in my life. Mr. Feagins is the greatest teacher i have ever had as he is the reason I pursue engineering at UTA. He teaches engineering and i had him for 3 years, in that time he taught me to love learning and helped me discover my true passion. He was always supportive of my curiosity while also keeping me from going to far and hurting myself. Then there is Mr. Steve who was the lead SPED teache... read more
