Dr. Mackler is treating me for Stage IV Renal Cancer. He has already extended my life one year. Dr Mackler excels at Effective Communication , he is a great listener. Use of Imaging to track the size of my numerous tumors is valued. This Doctor impresses me which seldom occurs. I am proud and blessed to have him leading my care with his team. Dr. Mackler has been thoroughly, utterly trustworthy. I’ve already had one primary cancer, and stand a strong chance of contracting another. I absolutely will place my life in Dr. Mackler’s hands. He is completely knowledgeable and skillful.
Dr. Mackler is my oncologist for stage 3 breast cancer. He has been excellent. He made me feel empowered in the decision making, and was happy to include my husband in the process. I am just passing my 3 year from diagnosis anniversary and I am happily showing No Evidence of Disease. I highly recommend them and the whole St Joe's team.
Insufficient communications or provision of data, for me, a new senior cancer patient, to assess risk- benefits and trust his treatment recommendations considering my other medical conditions. Requested risk benefit data was provided by another oncologist.
Dr. Mackler prescribed the wrong amount of chemo for me based on a wrong recording of my height. (5'8 was transposed as 58 ). Thankfully, this did not effect my treatment negatively. Also, I was diagnosed for breast cancer, but never once did he give me a breast exam. During the course of my cancer treatment, I only met with him 3 times. I was especially uneasy about not having met him before my first chemo treatment, I believe a cancer patient deserves better care and attention.
