Exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend. They are a family-owned St James company with deep family roots in Smithtown. I needed a propane tank installed for my kitchen range. Naturally I did my homework. I received quotes/surveys from area providers. North Shore's service - from the office staff to survey/installation - surpassed Petro and Paraco by leaps and bounds. The installers -Jim and Will - were skilled, professional, respectful and neat. They're pricing was very reasonable. Support your local business.
I like using local family owned and operated businesses. North Shore is easy and trustworthy. I have dogs and I don't have to worry about my gate being left open after delivery. Customer service is very friendly and the delivery comes right away.
Nicest, most accommodating business folks I've encountered in a long time. Took me back to small town America. I needed a one off combination of propane fittings for my boat. They fabricated what I needed and several variations, just to be sure, and sent me out without a bill.
Tried to hire these guys to install a propane tank and move a generator. Upon installation day Jim reversed his work truck into a $2600 fish tank causing the glass to chip and crack, his response to this was its only a chip it’ll still hold water. We used north shore fuel for 25+ years and have their service plan. The day before Thanksgiving our furnace was having pressure problems. Their technician Dan (who was VERY nice) showed up in a couple hours. Managed to temporarily fix the problem. Leaving us with heat but no hot water. Showed my husband how to turn hot water on, relieve pressure buildup and then turn it off, so we could enjoy and clean up our thanksgiving dinner.
