Since they've become a paraco everything got messed up. If you value your time and sanity, stay far away from North Shore Bottled Gas – The Paraco Company. They proudly promise delivery within 5 business days, but in reality they don’t seem to care about their own commitments. This company has left my family without heat for over a day and a half at this point. I have been on auto bill for 5 years. After a clerical error on their billing they don’t deliver propane. I have spent over 8 hours on hold over the last 2 days. Constantly telling me someone will call me back and should come out. I would stay FAR AWAY
Exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend. They are a family-owned St James company with deep family roots in Smithtown. I needed a propane tank installed for my kitchen range. Naturally I did my homework. I received quotes/surveys from area providers. North Shore's service - from the office staff to survey/installation - surpassed Petro and Paraco by leaps and bounds. The installers -Jim and Will - were skilled, professional, respectful and neat. They're pricing was very reasonable. Support your local business.
I like using local family owned and operated businesses. North Shore is easy and trustworthy. I have dogs and I don't have to worry about my gate being left open after delivery. Customer service is very friendly and the delivery comes right away.
Be aware. They were sold to Paraco gas and are a total rip off. But they didn’t tell you that they were sold
