The advantages to joining a credit union far outweigh those of traditional banks. The round up each dollar and put the difference in my savings if I choose. If I make 10 debit purchases a month, (easy) they give me $10. That's $120 a year! They offer holiday loans, personal loans, car loans with very low interest. The new credit union is nice inside and out. They have ITMs in the drive-through. They are interactive teller machines, this means you aren't interacting with the teller inside the credit union, but rather with someone on the screen located elsewhere. They are very easy to use and you can conduct several different kinds of transactions. I utilize this the most as it is convenient for my busy schedule.
