Wow. Everyone is so friendly here Facility is busy but front desk person was incredibly helpful. Took a water aerobics class with Joan G that was the best one I have taken, anywhere. She was enthusiastic , music was great, and i had a full body workout while she pumped up my mind. The pool, showers and locker room were spotless. Well worth driving 20 minutes to be there
I have taken three adult swim lessons so far at the Northside YMCA & my teacher, Keizie Joseph has been AWESOME (just to be clear of which teacher I'm referring to, this is the 12:00 noon Saturday adult swim teacher & i am her only student). This teacher has a wonderful understanding of how to teach adults how to swim. She is patient, understanding, non-judgemental, non-patronizing & proffessional. From the outside it doesn’t look like much, but on the inside it was a pleasant surprise. The moment we walked in, Carla at the front desk was very friendly and courteous. When I inquired about the coffee bar, she graciously brewed a fresh pot. The remodel looks spectacular. They have a comfortable lounge area where you can hang out and work, or just relax and watch some hoops. The locker rooms look brand new. Overall, a phenomenal experience!
Corrie is outstanding. She saved me so much on my monthly bill now that I am retired. It is all because she took the initiative and the time and trouble to look into my account. That is what real customer service and care is all about.
Highly recommend for weightlifting, cardio, child watch (childcare while you work out), and swim lessons. Employees are friendly, kind, and helpful. Atmosphere is welcoming. Membership price is reasonable. Facility is kept super clean!
