From the outside it doesn’t look like much, but on the inside it was a pleasant surprise. The moment we walked in, Carla at the front desk was very friendly and courteous. When I inquired about the coffee bar, she graciously brewed a fresh pot. The remodel looks spectacular. They have a comfortable lounge area where you can hang out and work, or just relax and watch some hoops. The locker rooms look brand new. Overall, a phenomenal experience!
Highly recommend for weightlifting, cardio, child watch (childcare while you work out), and swim lessons. Employees are friendly, kind, and helpful. Atmosphere is welcoming. Membership price is reasonable. Facility is kept super clean!
Located in a friendly neighborhood, filled with people who embody the strength that built it. This YMCA has awesome affordable programs, and serves as a communal space of support and encouragement. The staff are always so kind, the childcare group are reassuring and experienced, the trainers have great attention to detail, there’s almost always people playing basketball, and the laughs/joy of children can be heard around the facility. Super clean, friendly staff and members every time, great pool for lap swimming, no hassle vibe in the strength training and cardio machine areas. Even when downtown pool re-opens (if ever :), I think I'll still make the slightly longer journey (I'm in Museum District) to Northside.
Love the facility!!!, Every staff member greats you with a smile and make you feel very welcomed. Even the gym folks are the same. Has many programs, and activities available. Love this place, and glad to join the Y family.
