I had a situation where I had to break my lease for work and they fined me almost $15,000. That’s insane. I’ve never seen any residential property take advantage of people this way. There is absolutely no reason to charge such a huge fine and the state shouldn’t allow it, especially in this economy. They are also very hard to get a hold of.
