Since childhood I was extremely far-sighted with acute astigmatism, so I had to wear either very thick, heavy glasses or rigid, gas-permeable contact lenses. (You really can get used to anything.) I am a photographer & a mom of a toddler so the battle of glasses/contacts was everyday for me. I've been in glasses since 3rd grade & just turned 30.
