I felt like the whole staff worked very hard and were very caring in all their interactions. I plan to go there if I ever need care.
The director and the memory care director are always available and have taken care of any issues Mom has had! Mm loves the food and it does look really good! The facility is very nice and her caregivers are great with her! They have physical therapy on site along with a great nurse who comes twice a week.
My husband has been at The Oaks at West Cobb for 2 Full months and I am very pleased with the care he has received. The staff is always engaged and supportive. It is so nice to be able to be the supportive spouse rather than the caregiver.
This is a beautiful facility with great spaces both inside and outside. Numerous places for residents to sit and relax as well as family members. Good variety of activities, even though it has been difficult getting my family member to participate. Timely follow-up when I call or text with questions. Units are very spacious which is a plus.
Since mid August, the administration there has completely changed. Very difficult to get hold of them. Very poor communication. They don't return calls. Regular staff are very nice and sweet. Trash seems to frequently be overflowing in the apartment. Move in was very easy! They have a menu for the day, but a lot of times the meals will change without notice. Few condiments are offered. This is our second time searching for the perfect place for my sister. After learning the ins and outs of a memory care facility, we knew what to look for and Oaks at West Cobb is delivering. Yes! The Oaks at West Cobb is a beautiful facility and the meals are a good variety and well prepared...The facility has had some problems as a result of a lighting strike disabling the elevators for a week and a pipe breaking and flooding a portion of the ground floor for two days. My mom has made so much progress here! At her previous community, she was wheelchair bound. Here she's up and walking around with a walker every single day. They offer so many activities and do a great job of keeping the residents active. We've been very pleased. Her bathroom is large, room is a little smaller. But that's ok, she's not in it much anyway, which is what we'd hoped for. They check on the residents every 30 minutes. I would recommend them to friends and family.
I thought we were making a great decision. We were promised everything you could think of by the director which has never happened. Some of the aids are rude disrespectful and rough. The food is the worst I have ever seen. They call it some fancy name, which is nothing like you would imagine. I wouldn't eat it an neither will the elderly people that live here. We will be moving. PLEASE PLEASE DON'T PLACE YOU FAMILY MEMBER HERE. Don't try and call because they will not answer and you can't leave a message either.
