I was hesitant to use Ocala Dental Care after reading the reviews on this BBB website. After comparing their fees and procedures with four other dental practices, I ended up going with Ocala Dental for All on 4 implant surgery.Dr. ****** and all of the staff have been absolutely wonderful. I am healing beautifully with very minimal pain. The doctor and staff have been extremely knowledgeable and caring throughout the whole process. I dont think I couldve made a better choice.Since most of the bad reviews on this website pert... read more

If I can dissuade even one person from choosing Ocala Dental Clinic through this review, I will consider my effort worthwhile. This clinic operates primarily for profit, and regardless of having A+ dental insurance, they will find ways to increase your expenses. My son had a scheduled appointment for wisdom teeth extraction that cost me $900, but he was unable to attend. When I requested a refund, I was forced to dispute the charge with my credit card company. To complicate matters further, the clinic submitted paperwork to ... read more

I brought my daughter who is autistic here and they billed her insurance for work along with out of pocket costs which I understand, but charged ****** dollars for prepaid procedure through their lending club program, she changed her mind after being sick and cancelled , they are charging ***** dollars for this and loan amount increased also after so called 5000 refund, still mind you have to pay off loan and they billed insurance company also for dentures (temporary ) which never fit, so close to ****** dollars no teeth , h... read more

Business response:

Hi, We charged for the work we had completed office which was a CT Scan, a couple extractions, a temporary set of dentures (which you had chosen to have the extractions done elsewhere because they were cheaper. We had informed you that the dentures did not fit ideally because they did not do a proper alveoplasty, which if we had done the extractions here and the alveoplasty we would've accommodated the ft, the other office did no t do this properly. We also ordered her custom implants for surgery, which there was a signed co... read more

Stay away from this Dental Office, especially if you are paying out of pocket with no or little dental insurance. Much like an experience I had 6 years ago with Aspen Dental, this outfit is a cookie cutter dental office that rotates Dentists and people around multiple different locations so no continuity of establishing a familiarity with your provider. The Ocala facility is a nice location. When you walk in, you can tell that they are a rip off organization because there are no restrooms in the waiting room and at least 4-5... read more

Business response:

Hi, We are a private owned single practice and nothing like Aspen. Our providers have been here for 8 years plus and most all of our staff has been here 5-10 years. We do not own nor "rotate" staff through multiple locations. Please make sure you know the facts before spewing defamation lies. We also do not have on call dentists, we have 2 dentists that are employees of the practice and as far as the price, there is no such thing as a 2-**** bridge, your quote was for more work than you stated above and our prices are compet... read more

I do not recommend this dentistry. They are about money and not concerned with customers. There goal is to collect money however means possible. You will not get customer care after making payment in full. Be prepared for fees added after paying in full.

Business response:

Hi, After looking into your account, it seems your insurance originally gave us an estimate to pay $1000, after submitting the actual claims to them they had paid less than originally estimated. As you are aware, because it states in the signed treatment contract, any portions not paid by the insurance is due by the patient. Unfortunately patients seem to take it out on the business when the insurance company is the cause of the issue. We had gone above and beyond to appeal the claims and get more money for you and they (as ... read more

Want you to pay up front for services not yet received! All I needed was a tooth pulled and talk about what else could be done with the tooth later. This doctor and staff talked me into getting a whole bridge, said there was no other way and wouldn't pull the tooth without doing this. I'm a senior citizen and didn't know what else to do. I was pressured into thinking I had to do this. They maxed my credit card out and said I still owed almost $500. The total was almost $4300!I have insurance, but they said it wouldn't cover an... read more

Business response:

Hi, We always give the patient the option to just extract or to extract and replace so they will not be missing a tooth. we did this in your wife's case. She accepted to extract and do the bridge, she then called when she got home after speaking with I assume you (her husband) and said you were upset she paid for the bridge and she needed a refund, which we conducted immediately. We NEVER pressure patients, we give them options and it is up to them to accept and pay or not to. We can't force a patient to do something they do... read more
