So far, I am impressed and happy with Oceanside Animal Hospital. Oceanside was recommended to me by a family member who really likes them. I had a previous vet that was OK. I was annoyed at having to visit a 24-hour clinic for my older dog. But, when they couldn't see my new-to-me 12-week old puppy because they had no available appointments for a few months, AND I again had to visit a 24-hour clinic for an immediate issue with her, that forced me to find a new veterinarian. I’m leaving 1 star because this is a mix. I’ve brought my 2 ferrets to Oceanside and Dr Murray was fantastic. I would highly recommend her. And if this review was solely based on that it would be 5 stars. And if life was only about the good times then you can stop reading. However, this week I had to make the gut wrenching decision to put one of our ferrets to sleep. I am thoroughly impressed with Ocean Side. I mean what an experience! First of all, I was just a basket case over my cat being sick (especially after just loosing 3 of my 15 to 20 year old cats down in the same 6 to 9 months time). My normal vet, Leach Animal Hospital recommended Ocean Side to me. They put me right at ease from the start getting us in within 2 hours time. After accompanying my sister, The lack of care, forgetfulness, attentiveness, compassion, follow up, should be scary as hell to anyone who loves their pets, stay away from here worst vet on the entire Cape! We will NOT be calling anyone AFTER the facts, we WILL be spreading the word and names EVERYWHERE we can!
We had to have my sweet Bella euthanized. Cancer had spread. The entire staff was incredibly kind and compassionate. I can't tell them what this meant to us.
