We had such a wonderful dinner at O'Connor Woods, sharing a special evening with my Yia Yia, and the experience was truly lovely from start to finish. The food was excellent and I really love the recent menu changes. What a wonderful place! Mary Ann is an asset to O'Connor Woods and made our visit an excellent and productive one. The decision to move into an independent or assisted living environment is a tough one. My Mom is very independent and despite some health issues and challenges, wasn't ready to move out of her home. She did tell me she was interested in touring O'Connor Woods, so we scheduled an appointment and met with Mary Ann. I was just discharged from Meadowood, the physical rehabilitation section, of O'Connor Woods. I cannot say enough good things about Meadowood! I was treated kindly, respectfully, and made great connections with several Of the nurses and CNAs. It was exceptionally clean, smelled great and so grateful that I was able to choose them over the others in Stockton! I feel very fortunate that my insurance allowed me to stay there and for as long as needed.

My grandfather was admitted a couple days back. Instructions were clear--he needed physical therapy before getting out of bed. Fair enough. Next day, the front desk was deserted. No security, no greeting. I had to search the floor until I heard him crying for help--literally steps away from staff seating. Found him lying in bed in a wet diaper, humiliated, desperate. These nurses seem untrained, the oversight nonexistent. Whoever's in charge should be ashamed. This isn't the standard of care anyone should accept.
