The staff here are awesome! Very helpful in the new donor process and getting things started. The young lady that helped me was so busy but still had made sure I was taken care of and directed me properly.
You get what you get really. Staff is nice but some dudes (especially the Hispanic man with the weird hairstyle) clearly are there to hit on their female counterparts and make friends. I went in the summer and two people almost got into a fist fight ruining the mood creating a completely unsafe atmosphere probably the last time I'll ever come to this place.
I've been visiting Octapharma for a couple months now and every visit has been exceptional. The monetary compensation is a bonus to knowing that you're providing life saving help. The staff always makes sure you're comfortable and that you understand the process fully. The only downside is that you do sometimes have a long wait. Just depends on how busy the center is at that time.
Booked & confirmed new donor appointment online. But when I showed up, after waiting in a long line, was told they were not doing new donors cause they were understaffed. There was only 1 person doing vitals & there were 10 regular donors waiting to have their vitals checked. No apology and/or option to reschedule. It's a great thing though cause I just went to CSL Plasma Center which is way better. I know a lady named Janet who was there for years.
