I was in the process of moving, and in just a couple of weeks, my bill was sent to collections. The whole experience was a nightmare. It was assigned to one person, Jackie, and after several rounds of phone tag, I finally reached her. She told me a summons had been issued over a $200 bill. Needless to say, I’ll be going out of my way to avoid the Ogden Clinic in the future.
I’ve had ongoing issues with the billing department at this office. Last year, right before I gave birth, they called to tell me I suddenly owed $500 that no one had mentioned before. I was completely unprepared for it and felt awful when they asked how I was going to afford a baby. It was humiliating and stressful during an already emotional time. Now it’s happening again. Dr. Elizabeth Thompson did not provide the services I requested. I needed a new antidepressant and anti-anxiety medicine. She gave me sertraline and didn’t tell me to wean off my current escitalopram, so I took the sertraline and stopped taking my other medicine. I Experienced migraines, hot flashes, paranoia, blurred and vision. I could barely speak for the three days i was taking it. “Let’s say you come in for an oil change. I do my typical diagnosis and find that you have a leaking a/c line and the system is empty, and your brake pads in the front are worn to nothing. I will give you an estimate as to how much it will cost to repair the issue, If you give me the go-ahead to repair the issue. BE WARNED. I will be asking for referrals out of Ogden Clinic exclusively because of the billing department. The supervisor Michelle. is. horrible. Genuinely the worst medical billing experience I’ve ever had. I will be reaching out to customer care. Always issues. They give you minimal notice and then send your account balance to collections with an additional 25-65% fee. They refuse to waive the fees. Appalling.
