RecommendedI have been a client for the better part of two years. Rick took the time the learn exactly what I wanted in a dog and I got exactly that! Great looking, high drive, a machine in the field and an off switch that makes him great as a pet. I could not be happier Old Oak Retrievers. This is the only place I would go for a well-trained gun dog and a great family dog. Our dog Ollie receives many compliments where ever I take him. Exceptional in the field and at home. (You can only hunt with them maybe 3 months a year but you have to live with them the other 9 months) Our dog is out of Magnum and Mango. We had all our training at OOR (gun dog and obedience) Rick is a straight shooter and tells you like it is. Thank you for a great dog and member of the family.

Old oak kennels is top notch I purchased Deacon “Deke” after looking into many different breeders I even drove from Central Michigan to Southwest Tennessee to a large breeder and turned around and come home without a dog because they were not up to par afterwards did a lot of looking and found Old Oak kennels which I feel puts more emphasis into health issues and breeding good dogs.I could not ask for a better dog Deke is an excellent hunter great with kids very mild mannered and the most pleasant dog to be in a boat with th... read more
We ended up with a fantastic dog, Old Oak's Lucky Lucy. She's great with the kids, but intense in the field and can't get enough of it. She's as comfortable in the field on pheasants as she is in the boat on ducks.
Boarded my two Great Danes. Wonderful clean quiet kennel and knowledgeable staff.
Rick did a fantastic job training our Golden Retriever! Their kennels and facilities are spotless and our dog was well cared for. I highly recommend Old Oak Retrievers!!
