Hi Ann, We're sorry to hear you had issue at check in. Our property is unique in that our front desk is not staffed 24 hours a day. We do our very best to contact all arriving guests with late check-ins prior to their arrival to advise them that the front desk will be closed. We review our "Late Check-In Procedure" which does involve using a red phone to contact our answering service for detailed instructions on how to access you particular suite. One confusion visitors can have when visiting Tigertail Beach is that they mistake the lagoon for the beach! Although it's a bit of a walk from the parking lot, Tigertail Beach is lovely.
