Avoid This Community – Save Your Peace of Mind! I lived in Olde Salem Village and had one of the worst rental experiences of my life. Here’s why I strongly advise you not to move here: • Fraudulent & Excessive Utility Billing: There are no separate meters for apartments. Every month you are charged $250+ for water/sewer whether you use it or not. I hate to say that I spent a good portion of my childhood in this apartment complex. Growing up, I experienced both worlds—spending school days in the more expensive part of Arlington, VA, with my mom and weekends and long breaks here with my grandma. This place is a nightmare and absolutely not safe for children. I understand that this is a low-budget option for families who can’t afford more, but please don’t settle for this place. Spoke to Jose at the leasing office. Seems that he's not a fan of helping English limited account holders. My friend rents there and they had a clerical error that jumped to an eviction notice. My friend spoke to them yesterday and was told there was nothing they could do to stop court. Today there was a possibility of making a payment to dismiss the whole matter. As a US born native Spanish speaker, imm so disappointed when people don't step up to help resolve something and instead allow things to escalate. Do better Jose.

I've lived here since birth. I'm 24 years old now. This is a prominent Spanish neighborhood. The management is terrible. The apartment hallways are always dirty. Drunk men everywhere. Teens doing drugs in the buildings. The rent is super overpriced. Only get 1 parking spot per room on apartments. Can't have visitors because the tow truck passes by every 45 minutes. They take more than 3 months to do repairs. Honestly, you can find cheaper and nicer places in the same area. -10/10

HORRIBLE APARTMENTS, no central heating or air conditioning, if you want to set up your own AC unit they will charge you an additional $80 per month per unit. Water pressure is terrible, no hot water after 6pm. Power is not reliable!!! Lights flicker and cuts out several times a day. Roaches and mice run this place they be running me out the kitchen. Dangerous area someone got shot outside my building my first week here. Perc heads always in the laundry rooms not letting anyone in. Rent is too expensive to be living like thi... read more
