This building deserves zero stars. Moving in was the worst decision I’ve ever made. From the start, it’s been nothing but broken promises, poor conditions, and neglect. Picasso from Nooklyn lied about amenities, and JCS Realty has been unresponsive. The hot water barely works, often forcing my daughter to shower in cold water and miss school due to illness. I’m 17, and living at One38 has been nothing but stressful. I still don’t have a fob to get into my own building, and we never got a working mailbox key. I couldn’t even receive my driver’s permit. I got sick a lot because there was no heat or hot water, and I failed some of my Regents exams because I couldn’t study during all the power outages. I recently moved into 138 Bruckner, and despite seeing some negative reviews beforehand, I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. The building has exceeded my expectations — clean, well-managed, and full of great amenities. The staff has been responsive and helpful, and the community here is welcoming. Sometimes you just have to see things for yourself — I’m glad I did!
My partner and I couldn't be happier with our apartment and location. Moving to the Bronx was a big step for us. The building is beautiful and always well kept. we use the amenities on the weekends when we have free time being that we work a lot. My last place wasn't as good as mott haven. I have no real issues with my apartment or management. So far so good. Best decision ever.
This building is a disaster in every possible, and I’m absolutely livid about it. They sold me on a dream, and now I’m stuck in this crumbling nightmare. If you enjoy paying for nothing and dealing with incompetence, this is the place for you. The management here is the worst I’ve ever encountered. They are completely incompetent and couldn’t care less about the tenants. They act like I’m the problem for expecting basic living conditions.
