To commence a dialogue regarding the Zellwood Station Community, it is imperative that a historical foundation be established. OpticalTel was not the original service provider for this community, but rather a company that specialized in rural central Florida that built out their old infrastructure (originally Florida Cable Inc. and later on Florida Fiber Networks). OpticalTel acquired certain assets from the latter in late 2016 including the Zellwood Station Community's infrastructure and rights to provide service therein. It was determined immediately that this antiquated infrastructure did not meet the needs of the community, nor our company's minimum network standards. An agreement was reached with the HOA and construction immediately began on an intensive project to not only deliver a Fiber to the Home system, but new fiber optic connectivity to our wide area network which would ensure immense room for future improvements. Around the world, implementation of technology within rural regions has been, and continues to be, a strong challenge for telecommunication & cable providers of any size to overcome. The deployment for the Zellwood Station has been no exception to this, as both our company and the Zellwood Station Board of Directors are aware. Earlier this year we completed all of the community's new infrastructure which represented several millions of dollars investment on our part. Concurrently, additional investments were made to complete construction to bring our wide area network to the community itself. However, circumstances outside of our control, including but not limited to road works prevalent in central Florida, as well as third party approvals, have impacted the final completion. Therefore, a decision was made between the Board of Directors and OpticalTel to temporarily hault the installation of residents onto the new system until this final delivery of the wide area network, and which is anticipated very shortly. The issues which may be present for some residents, whether on the company's new system or the old system, are not representative of our services and only speak to the previous company's antiquated network. Most importantly, during this period of transition, our company has not invoiced the Zellwood Station Homeowner Association whatsoever. Should you have any further questions or concerns regarding this matter, please feel free to contact us.
