WELCOME TO THE OREGON VETERINARY SPECIALTY HOSPITAL MAGGIE C. Dr. Franklin has been very thorough and compassionate during my dog’s long and difficult problem. I would highly recommend him as your animal’s specialty care provider. Oregon Veterinary Specialty Hospital has been serving the community since 1979. Dr. Robert T. Franklin specializes in Internal Medicine. We welcome referrals from veterinarians all over the Pacific Northwest. Our goal is to help your pet regain health and live a long and happy life.

Our dog had been struggling with intermittent GI issues for years despite spending multiple overnights in the emergency vet, regular veterinary care, prescription food, and a visit to another internist who left his underlying condition a mystery. Dr. Franklin identified that our dog had inflammatory bowel disease and provided a treatment and diet that is working! It’s such a relief to have answers after almost 10 years!

Dr. Franklin is the Wizard of vets! He solved difficult to puzzles for 3 of my dogs, one had Lupus, the other had Hydrocephalus . . . and a 3rd dog had medication induced Urinary overflow incontinence after a knee surgery by another vet. Nobody else could sort any of these out! He figured it out in just one visit, and in the 3rd case, with a phone call!!! I am eternally grateful to Dr. Franklin and even though I have moved to Roseburg, if I have a difficult issue, you know where I'm going to take my dog!! Deb

Dr. Franklin and his staff have been so kind to us while we navigate through our Golden’s bladder cancer. The care she has received has been so compassionate, thorough, and exactly what she needed and no more. Dr. Franklin’s first concern is your pet, but he is also aware and upfront of the costs for the treatments. We absolutely love him and his staff!!

We are so grateful to Dr. Decker and her team for treating our cat's hyperthyroidism. They were professional and compassionate from start to finish! Doctor Franklin has been our vet for over 35 years. He is not a great vet. He is the best vet ever. All of our pets have lived and even passed in his care and we would never go anywhere else as long as Doctor Franklin is alive and well. Sindi M and Glenn E
