I used Orkin for many years when I lived in Maryland years ago. Pretty soon after moving to Elk Grove, I set up my service. I only cancelled briefly but recently reinstated it. We have had excellent service providers who have gone up and beyond what I expected. And today when I received a requested call back about a service date change I needed. I spoke with an excellent representative who processed my requested change. He was prompt in calling me and really brightened my day.

I had Orkin at my first house that I bought. They still haven't come out for spiders and black widows in ants. First technician found where the ants were coming in within five minutes. Later on I kept him around for rodent activity. I am in heating and air and I jump in attics every day and I run into rats. My clients have to spend a lot of money to fix duck work as well as clean up the attic insulation and I've got a protect them from getting more rats. My family and I would like to give a huge thumbs up to Orkin and more specifically "Ray"!! We had one hell of a rat problem in and outside our home. If I could give one word for Ray and Orkin it would be "tenacious" Once they started, they went all out to ratify the problem. In addition. Orkin made sure our home was sealed. Orkin stands by their word when you tell them you have wasps nests, they come to get rid of it for no extra cost.

I had Orkin at my house last week. My request for the tech to set rat traps in attic and seal the two holes I pointed out. In total he set 5 traps and somehow cajoled me into signing an agreement. I told him I did not want any further service after seeing how I just spent $300 for him to do so little. It was my decision to not have pesticide sprayed. I was quoted 330 to start service and 56 monthly for 1 year to treat house, about 1k total. I agreed, provided credit card and scheduled service no problem. Tech showed up and said the rep misquoted the price which would be double, 2k. Be careful as it seems the bait and switch is used here. It's the taking off work to meet the tech that is so problematic. The scheduling flexibility seems good as does the ability to get hold of someone and the tech did show up in the scheduled time window so that was good.

They are happy to consistently charge you but good luck on consistent quality service. For some reason I have kept orkin over a year now and the service has been dreadful. If you have a pest control service over a year there is no reason to have ants, wasp nests, mice, cockroaches, spiders. Pretty much you name it I got it. Orkin is embarrassing. I'm sure some of the service providers do a good job, but that 1000% has not been the case for me. I have also gave them numerous chances. Asked them multiple times to stop sending ... read more

Scheduled termite estimate online and they told me that even though it is scheduled and confirmed online it is not unless we talk to someone via phone. So why even have that option online. If this is how organized there company is, I need to question there service.

Not so long ago I would have given Orkin a 5* review but not at the moment, back in April I received an email and text message stating my next service was due for May 4, the day before I received further communication confirming my appointment, but nobody showed up, I sent two emails and received nothing back from them, today Orkin came to my house to do the quarterly service, great, but I had no idea they was going to come May 17, luckily I was home to open the gate to the back yard and to show them the property boundaries... read more
