I am very disappointed with my experience with Orkin. My initial service on September 23 cost about $170, but they only treated the outside of my home and did an attic inspection. I rent, so any attic work is ultimately up to my leasing company--but what I really needed was the inside treated. I have a commercial account with Orkin, including a Termite Bond for a 34-building apartment community. While I've only had to call for termite issues a few times over the past two years, the process of requesting service has become increasingly frustrating and difficult. I am blown away! I just got off the phone with a "Christopher," some nut job guy who went ballistic on me at this office. Orkin never shows up on time, shows up on the wrong days, or doesn't show up at all. When I called to complain that they never showed up again on their scheduled day, he started being condescending and said, "we're just going to pull that guys truck just for you and pull him in here and fire him for you!" Appointments are made without prior notification. If you schedule one don't expect them to arrive on time. You can expect both the office and arriving tech to be rude and talk over you. Extremely over priced, especially considering poor results of treatments. Also, they will try to upsell EVERYTHING as apparently nothing is included in their default service.
I've been an Orkin customer since 2019. I'm normally at work when they come and would just see a bill for services after the scheduled time. We haven't really had any pest issues in that time. The 1-star rating is from today's experience where I'd scheduled weeks in advance for Orkin to come and treat for the first pest problem we've had.
