Surely there cannot be a medical school that teaches you to diagnose patients after asking them “How are you feeling? How is the medicine?” 3 times within a week, the conversation going on for less than a minute. I was nothing but a quiet, shy, U of I student who was missing classes for a week straight, and also missing my placement for my major of being an educator. Being above the age of 18, I asked to sign myself out, and they refused. My grandmother, who legally adopted me as a baby, was not given correct information abo... read more

There is no God in this place. If you're LGBTQIA+, AVOID at all costs. they can and WILL treat you terribly and, if you're trans, make a point to misgender you as much as humanly possible. I got groped by officers in the parking lot. no one, not a single soul here, cared. If you aren't cishet, you aren't even human to these people. Your suffering is just a joke to them.

I was coming here to see dr lo, who ended up leaving. I then went to dr gait who tried to say I had bi polar which in no shape or form have I ever been told since I’ve been on meds when I was 6. I transferred and came back when my provider left. Saw Nicole who was great but left. Then today I went in for my appointment, which was supposed to be video but “the link not working was not their fault” and I was told my provider had been exposed to COVID 8 times but I needed to see her. Mind you I’m getting married in two weeks. T... read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Gait since 2019. Dr. Gait gives it to me straight and has the ability to be honest while not sugar coating her observations as to clinical diagnostic and medication discussions and reviews. Exactly what I have needed for years. I may not always like what I hear, but her guidance and expertise have been life changing for me. She does in depth psych assessments by not only getting clinical impressions from me, her patient, but took the extra steps to talk with family members to obtain thier obs... read more

Seeing Dr. Gait was one of the worst experiences of my life seeing a mental health professional. She was not professional at all. She blamed me and criticized my intelligence about my diagnosis. She belittled me to the point I left out her office crying all the way to my car. I left more depressed than when I came in. She has no empathy or compassion in my opinion. Cindy Sundeen was the best at OSF but is no longer there. I would definitely steer clear of this so called Dr. Gait. If I could give her a zero star I would.
