I had an accident, and suffered a separated shoulder last night. I was taken to OSF St.Mary's ER by ambulance where I was treated. The staff was great! They all seemed to genuinely care, and a few of them exceeded well beyond their job descriptions. I did not get their names as I was in alot of pain, but they made me feel welcome. I have heard alot of bad things about OSF St.Mary's, but I can't say one bad thing about them. They all gave effort, and showed me that they belong there helping people. My husband has stage 4 lung and bone cancer. On Thursday the 26th I took my husband to the emergency room per his doctor request for shortness of breath. He had been there a week and a half prior for low oxygen and low sodium. We ended up leaving due to the experience was horrible. However on the 26th, we went again and was seen and treated by Dr. Jennifer Main and Melissa Ricca, RN. We were there for over 8 hrs. Both these ladies went above and beyond for my husband. It's time i write another review of St. Mary's. Over the past couple of years I have been quite rough about our local hospital. But last night, my wife was having some complications that involved both ghas and the hospital er staff. My wife was taken care of quite well while we were there. The Emts that helped her on the ride there were professional and flawless. So polite and informative. The doctors and nurses in the er? Above and beyond service! first off, I was pregnant and called to set a appointment as soon as I found out about 6weeks, in place of a standard visit they do E-visits where blood work was done. (Everything was normal) on my second e-visit I was asked if they had called me to schedule a sonogram because she had sent them a message that I needed one and they had dropped the ball on it, so she reached out again and told me that if they hadn't reached out by the next day to let her know. I have been a patient with osf for 6 years. I recently changed dr do to having 5 different dr in them 6 years do to them leaving. But I chose to keep my obgyn dr there. My original appt was in April and they changed my appt to May then June then July and now August. I would not recommend osf. It should not 5 appts just to be seen by your dr
