My mother was taken by ambulance on a Sunday because she’d suddenly lost a great deal of weight, was unable to stand and walk, and complained of chest pains. OMC told me she was 65 pounds, 25 pounds lighter than normal. They said her right lung had completely collapsed and her heart rate was irregular jumping from 90 to 190 every few minutes. From what I have seen (which is by no means everything) this is not a hospital you want to bring a very sick loved one to. If you have the choice, choose another. In my experience, OMC is lacking in knowledge and compassion. I did not feel that the best was done for my mother in any sense. Appointments were canceled, rescheduled, made without contacting us very freq... read more

I have been there on several occasions they tried to have me put in the stress unit multiple times for coming in with the flu or other medical conditions. I had to get my Brother to come stop them from putting me on their stress unit more than once. I had to have my gallbladder removed and the surgeon nicked the common bile duct and never told me anything about it and sent me back home I was back ... read more

My wife was a patient at the ER. The care she received was mediocre. Questionable triaging practices. At a Level 1 Trauma Center or a Stroke Center, she would have been a stroke alert. But since they didn't see textbook signs or symptoms just looking at her at the front desk, she sat in triage for hours. Had they done even a basic neuro assessment, she would have gone straight to CT, or at least should have. Fortunately, the condition turned out to be something less emergent than a stroke. Otherwise, they would have complete... read more
