My visit to PCLI began with the most welcoming and cordial admirative staff, from there a highly skilled eye/vision tech person processed me thru several diagnostic analyzer devices. Then a thorough explanation with my doctor of all options for my condition with very detailed answers for my questions. I plan to proceed with the surgeries my PCLI doctor and I have discussed.
Staff were welcoming and friendly. Doctor and assistant were professional, friendly and informative. Only downfall was appointment was at 10 but didn’t leave until well after 11. Waited in a room for a period of time.
I received a thorough and professional evaluation by the technician and doctor. Risks, benefits, types of lenses and surgery were explained and described in simple terms. The visit flow was organized and all staff I encountered were very supportive and efficient. I felt heard and all questions were answered.
Today was my first experience with Pacific Cataract & Laser Institute and I was very pleased. The staff is friendly and very professional. I met with Dr. Neal and she was very nice and explained each step in the procedure. I was impressed that she took the time to read thr notes in my file, asked questions, and really listened. My experience was not good. During my PTK pre-op instructions with a nurse, a patient next to me went fixed & dialated from extreme nervousness before laser procedure. As the nurse yelled this patients name over & over & yelled DOCTOR DOCTOR DOCTOR both nurse & doctor yelled at this patient for a full minute. Then yelled for another nurse to call 911 while I was 1 foot away from her dealing with my own anxiety, plus 4 other patients were in this small room, (WHATEVER HAPPENED TO PATIENT PRIVACY?
