I recently received a nerve block injection from a doctor at the Hinsdale practice and it made the pain in my head worse. The doctor stated he would give me LESS medicine (25 mg vs. 40 mg) than my previous doctor gave me and said we could try again if it didn't work. One injection costs me about $350 out of pocket/after insurance. My previous doctor (who left the practice) - Dr. Thekkekara - was wonderful. I’ve been working with the team for several years. I have stenosis/degenerative disc disease and a host of other spinal arthritic problems. I always meet with Jennifer Hinchley, who is amazing. During my two-part bilateral stellate ganglion block, I was quoted a flat $2,000 out-of-pocket for both sessions. After the first procedure—and having already taken time off work for the second—I was informed just as the 2nd session was about to begin that a $250 sedation fee, never disclosed for my initial visit, would be applied retroactively and needed to be charged again today.
