Two bills, two DIFFERENT accounts, each bill citing a different provider for pathology on ONE (and the same) pathology sample. Insurance company called them, they agreed there was an issue and said they'd hold billing for 45 days to figure it out. Two weeks later, I receive another set of bills for two accounts/two providers/SAME sample.
I was double billed and tried to obtain a refund. I have been calling them for 4 months (7 phone calls), and I get a run around each time. One of the phone calls said that the refund was in the mail, but 2 weeks later it did not arrive, even though they verified my address. One of the phone calls lasted about 15 minutes, when the person on the line made it sound like she was rapidly typing for almost 10 minutes. I assume that she thought I would hang up, but I did not.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a scammier looking billing website. I had to call my insurance and have them check it was even accurate, and the letter I received in the mail looked just as suspicious as the website. Not to mention it is 2024 and these people take 4 months to bill someone? It’s unacceptable.
Worst service I've ever encountered. They charge double that of our local Pathology lab who uses this company as a sub-contractor (without proper notice). We were shocked when we got our first bill a few months, and we just received another bill for services dated 2023 (it's now April 2025). Today as we called them to sort out double billing along with our insurance advocate they hung up on us.
Had labs done through them, the VA paid for it. Kept getting bills, called twice (with dates and reference numbers to prove it) to explain I have the letter from Optum VA CNN stating it was paid, they then said they would take care of it. Well I received a letter from collection due to this ALREADY PAID bill. I will be contacting not only them, the collection agency, but also Optum about this. If their billing dept is this bad the VA should probably not send community care patients to them
