Dr. Girdlestone is excellant ! He has done two extensive procedures on my 8 year old son, and his exceptional clinical skills, as well as his tenderness, kindness and gentle voice & touch, allowed my son to get through both lengthly procedures very well. Doctor is a god-send!
Dr. Girdlestone & his staff are phenomenal. They all have excellent chair manner. My kids love going to the dentist. We have been squeezed in for emergencies within hours. So pleased with this practice!
When your child is excited about going to the dentist you know they are great with children! We have had to do some procedures with my daughter, like baby root canals, stainless steel caps etc., that would have been very scary, Dr. Girdlestone and his staff are great with children! Also in the event of an emergency they do what they can to get you in promptly!
When my four year old son had an issue, they went out of their way to make sure he was able to be treated promptly. I have no doubt that the staff genuinely cared. They made the entire experience as pleasant as possible for my son and for us as parents.
My 1 year old daughter fell and chipped her two front teeth. I called and got in right away. I was nervous wreck and the staff made me so comfortable. Dr. Girdlestone was great with my daughter and helped me understand that it wasn't as bad as I thought..Thank u so much!!!
The dentist was ok. However, the office staff screwed up so badly that my child would have received the wrong anesthesia for her tooth extraction had I not called about an insurance question prior to the service. The dentist’s recommendation and my final decision was apparently not noted by the office staff. I’m taking her elsewhere because of their ineptitude.
Staff was friendly, doctor was friendly. Hours are very limited. My daughter had a spot on her tooth and doctor explained if she had taken care of right away she would not need filling. Doctor was closed all Fridays and Mondays and had no appointments available for nearly two months. Needless to say she ended up needing a complete filling because they could not squeeze her in. Business response:
We are shocked that this would be for our office. We deal with Delta daily, so we are not sure what that is all about. We are open on all Mondays and we are very in depth when it comes to child care. As far as appt times, fillings, extractions, crowns, root canals etc. are 1 hour to 2 hour appts. To only do afterschool hours, would mean we would be booked out years, because that would then limit our day. We would be able to only see 3 patients a day instead of the 7 we see for treatment now.
This dentist is only wants to work on sedated children. I wasn't comfortable with that for my child. I was surprised how easy it was to find a dentist that doesn't routinely sedate children, yet keeps them comfortable.
