Terrible communication and hard to work with.
I have never been so mistreated by a company as I was by this one. I have had insurance with them for 7 years, 1 accident in that time. I have been screamed at by employees for having my truck towed to the wrong place, a place I was told to have it towed by the 800 number customer service. Now I had a "wonderful" woman, very nasty talked over me and did not listen. I was trying to understand why they canceled my policy. What insurance company does Not write a policy for a business with 0 claims, NO late payments, and easy $??? Pekin Insurance of course. I called to try and understand the reasoning behind it, and was treated horribly, and then, the ‘wonderful’ woman I was talking to hung up on me. I was hit by someone insured by pekin. . The adjuster never returns my calls, today 9 days later I finally spoke to her for the first time. She lied and said she called me and left me a voicemail ( that never happened) tried to manipulate me into taking only 50 percent half payment for my vehicles damages or else it’s going to take a long time. They canceled one of my multiple policies during covid shutdown in June, then sent me an overpayment refund in November. Attempted to reinstate the policy and pay a year in advance and was turned down. So much for keeping my business and money local. Will make sure I let everyone know how unprofessional this local insurance company is. I do not recommend Pekin insurance for any of your needs.
Definitely don’t like dealing with this insurance company. I was involved in a rear end collision and the person at fault uses Pekin Insurance. The adjuster that was assigned to my claim never returns my calls and isn’t addressing my concerns. The repairs were done because Pekin is working with the body shop but my car does not look the same as before my accident. My car was hit by their insured. Took the estimator a week to approve the supplemental damages, collision center was done with the repairs in about a day besides one back ordered part which was completed Friday. Have received the most ridiculous run around trying to get them to send a screenshot of payment to collision center so they can release my car going on 4 days now. Absolutely atrocious work ethic, communication, and follow through from start to finish, whenever that will be.

They totaled out our vehicle after my husband hit a deer. Thats fine. Said they mailed out a check on the 23rd come to find out didnt mail it out til Monday which means we lost at least a day or 2 of shipping to get out check. They were sure to get the totaled vehicle, but couldn't even send out a check ASAP? now I'm without a vehicle and no check. Which feels so wrong.
