The PennyMac personnel, top to bottom, always got back to me promptly, even though I might not have responded to THEM as quickly. [My slow responses can be attributed to the fact that I was sometimes confused as to which forms had already been completed and which had not.]
While going through the process of a VA refinance, my husband passed away. The process had to change but I got through it with the help of wonderful people at Pennymac.
Terrible communication. I was told repeatedly that my loan had been approved and then I was continually asked for more and more documents. All the way up until the day before the signing, the document was then provided overnight (as I too work for a living). My Signing was then canceled and I never received any notification of that. Very unprofessional, did not return my calls timely. Documents were requested multiple times after providing what was needed. Asked to speak with manager. Manager never returned my call. Overall horrible experience.
Communication was lacking, I would have to check the online portal to see if new documents were needed instead of just a quick phone call that I needed to upload new documents. The "MyTeam" could never help me or answer questions and rarely knew anything about my situation. My closing documents had an incorrect middle initial which was called in and notified by the onsite notary and we were insured over the phone it would be corrected.
